In easily its most balanced effort of the season, the Park Tudor Boys Lacrosse Team won a tense, four-quarter affair at Southport High School on Friday night. Originally scheduled for the grass at Lauth Field, the game was moved to Southport’s beautiful stadium after Lauth went underwater in Wednesday and Thursday’s rain. The game was tied on multiple occasions, but some clutch scoring from freshmen Will Morris and Harrison Davis, some brave leadership from seniors Gavin Gershman and Logan Mobasser, and some outstanding defensive stands by Charlie Rominger (’21), Michael Gibbs (’21), Steph Douglas (’22), Luke Hayes (’22), Gavin Murphy (’21), Jack Button (’21), and Alex Badman (’22) closed the game out in the Panthers’ favor. Rominger made some remarkable saves in earning the win, and many young players stepped up to make crucial contributions toward the win (Hayes and Badman on clears, Edward Hu (’22) and Morris on ground balls). Scoring for the Panthers were Tate Surtani (’21) (4G), Gershman (3G), Mobasser (2G), Davis (1G), and Morris (1G). The Panthers return to action against Avon on Tuesday night on (a hopefully drier) Lauth Field.
