The Panthers took to Memorial Field after a two-week layoff and fell behind a tough Brownsburg team early, thanks in large part to Brownsburg’s excellent work at the faceoff X. The Panthers righted the ship and started to even out the possession time in the second quarter, but it was not enough to overcome the early deficit. The Panther defense had some extended stands allowing few shots, including some man down situations, and showed some of their best play of the season. Goalie Charlie Rominger (’21) had a remarkable game, making 19 saves and keeping his team in the contest. The captains awarded him the game ball for his performance. Scoring for the Panthers were Gavin Gershman (’19) (3 goals), Logan Mobasser (’19), and Zach Aldridge (’20). The Panthers hit the road for their first away game of the season on Friday night at 6:30, matching up with Bloomington North.
