The boys lacrosse team headed north to Argos on Friday night for a contest with a classy and well-coached new Dragons lacrosse program. The Dragons came out hotter than the boys in red, jumping out to an early 3-2 lead. The Panthers made a few lineup adjustments while senior captains Gavin Gershman and Logan Mobasser took the helm. The Panthers finished the first quarter up 5-3 and did not look back. Pacing the Panthers in scoring were Gershman (4G, 1A), Mobasser (2G, 2A), Tate Surtani (’21) (3G), Harrison Davis (’22), (2G), Will Morris (’22), (2G), and Zach Aldridge (’20) (1G, 1A). Luke Hayes (’22) led the defense with five ground balls, and keeper Charlie Rominger (’21) made 13 saves in picking up his 5th win of the 2019 campaign. The game ball was awarded to sophomore Gavin Murphy for an all around effort playing excellent on-ball defense, off-ball defense, and clearing. The Panthers will host Avon at 6:00 on Tuesday.
