Game Recap

Park Tudor Middle School Boys Soccer completed an undefeated regular season in Indianapolis Independent School League play Tuesday with a 6-1 win over Oaks Academy.

The team is now 7-2-1 overall and 6-0 in league play.

On Thursday, the Panthers opened the scoring with a great team goal, as Peter Dubie played Humza Raza down the left, Raza hit a grounded cross into the penalty area and Oscar Stuart made a good run to first-time the ball home for a 1-0 lead.

The 2nd goal came on a corner kick, as Dubie hit a low ball into the area and Marcus Kennedy bodied it in from close range to make it 2-0. Minutes later, Humza Raza played another good pass for David Mokaya who tucked it home for a 3-0 lead. Oaks then fought hard to cut the advantage to 3-1 at the half.

Owen Camferdam made some good saves in goal, with Myles Nehrling, Alex Parrish, Keaton Watanabe, Ahmed Athar, Will Morris, Harvey Lambert, Yash Dandamudi and Kyron Baptiste all contributing on the defensive end.

Marcus Kennedy, Isaiah Crafton, Justin Gershman, Ty Komatsu Peter Dubie and Zac Snyder all played well in midfield, with Oscar Stuart, Humza Raza, Izzy Miroff, David Mokaya, Luke Fisher and Anthony Peng contributing in the forward line.

In fact it was Peng who made it 4-1 with his first goal of the year, taking a good pass from Mokoya on the edge of the area and firing a shot in off the left post. Stuart made it 5-1 with his second goal of the day, again on an assist from Raza. Dubie scored the game’s final goal on a 25-yard drive. Park Tudor closed out the game with a superb passing demonstration from Kennedy, Miroff, Dubie, Dandamudi and Nehrling.

Park Tudor has earned the top seed in the postseason tournament and will host its opening game next Thursday the 5th at 5 p.m. on Lauth Field, against the winner of the Sycamore vs. International contest.

Meet Recap

We battled really well today in the heat at the Royals JV invite. Altogether I was really impressed with how we played and the level of competition that was there. With the heat playing a significant factor for the players, they still went out their and let everything out on the courts. Here is the recap
#1S Rothbaum placed 3rd
#2S Zhou placed 3rd
#3S Xie placed 7th
#1D Held/Momcilovich placed 1st
#2D Tewari/Fu placed 6th

This was such a great tournament for the JV players to really get some good playing right before sectionals start. We will be playing our last match of the season as we take on HSE @ HSE Monday. Match time starts at 5 so please come out and support the team and all the players as they play there last regular season match.
