Game Recap

Park Tudor moved to 5-2-1 on the season with a 2-0 road win at Mt. Vernon on Thursday.

Ahmed Athar and Owen Camferdam were the goalkkeepers who recorded the shutout, both coming with some key interventions for the Panthers. Myles Nehrling, Harvey Lambert, Will Morris and Yash Dandemudi were stalwarts in the backline, with Morris making a fantastic goal-line clearance with the last kick of the ball to preserve the clean sheet.

Isaiah Crafton and Justin Gershman also played a key role in twin defensive midfield roles as the Panthers rolled out a new formation for the match. Ty Komatsu, Kyron Baptiste, Anthony Peng and Luke Fisher played well on the wings with Fisher on the receiving end of one of the roughest fouls of the season as his dribbling work frustrated opponents.

Humza Raza and David Mokoya scored the PT goals. On the first goal, Crafton won a ball at midfield and it fell to Keaton Watanabe who touched it to Humza Raza. Raza played a quick pass to David Mokoya, who passed it to himself, running around a defender and then finishing smartly inside the far post to make it 1-0.

After halftime, Mokoya returned the favor, playing a through pass to Raza who drilled a shot off the underside of the crossbar to make it 2-0.

Park Tudor has two home games this week as the postseason IISL Tournament approaches.
