Panthers draw with Eastwood 2-2.

Park Tudor Middle School Boys Soccer came from behind to tie Eastwood 2-2 Tuesday night in northeast Indianapolis.

The hosts went up 2-0 in the first half, but the Panthers’ defense galvanized and kept Eastwood out of the net for the game’s final 40 minutes, with strong performances from Alex Parrish, Myles Nehrling, Harvey Lambert, Yash Dandamudi, Luke Fisher, Will Morris, Owen Camferdam and Ahmed Athar in defense and goal, plus Justin Gershman, Kyron Baptiste,Keaton Watanabe and Isaiah Crafton in defensive midfield.

Park Tudor cut the lead in half late in the first half when Humza Raza controlled a long goal kick from Peter Dubie and fired a shot home to make it 2-1. After the break, the teams battled back and forth, but after David Mokoya earned a free kick by drawing a foul with his dribbling, Peter Dubie expertly powered hom a free kick through a gap in the defensive wall, leaving the goalkeeper with no chance and making it 2-2, which was the final score. Anthony Peng, Zac Snyder and Izzy Miroff also contributed on the offensive end. Park Tudor is now 4-2-1 overall and 4-0 in the league, with post season tournament approaching the week after next.
