Swimmer qualifies for girls state meet

Kudos to freshman Natalie Marsan who represented PT at the IHSAA girls swimming state meet this past weekend at IUPUI Natatorium. She placed 27th in the 100 back at 1:00.79.

Natalie qualified for state when she placed 1st in the 100 back at sectionals a new school record at 1:00.35. At sectionals, the team placed 4th overall, with several top-three finishes. Natalie also placed 2nd in the 50 free (setting a new school record at 24.80), Katelynn Kyker was 3rd in the 100 fly, and Francesca Santini was 3rd in the 100 breast. The 200 free and medley relays (Natalie, Francesca, Katelynn, and Veeanna Edwards) also broke school records at 1:43.47 and 1:55.50, respectively.

Boys sectionals start tonight at 5:30 at Decatur Central, with finals Saturday at 1 p.m. Good luck swimmers!
